So that is why for our first twenty years, we eat, sleep, play and enjoy ourselves. For the next forty years, we slave in the sun to support our family. Top Ten Internet Marketing Mistakes


Every Internet Marketer makes mistakes, and those mistakes usually cost you money! It's important that we learn from the mistakes that we make so that we do not make them again, and so that we can gain insight into where we went wrong. I have compiled a list of the 10 most common mistakes Internet Marketers make. My goal is to help you steer clear of these mistakes in the hope that I can save you some money, and time!

=>Mistake #1 - Using the Content Network

When you start a Google PPC campaign you should always remember to turn the content network off. The reason for this is because you do not want to receive traffic from pages with Google AdSense on them as these pages are many times plagued with click fraud and non targeted traffic. If you are not an expert, you should not be using the content network. I do not use the content network because it can cost you an arm and a leg and produce absolutely zero positive results.

To turn the content network off, log into your AdWords account, click on a campaign, then click the "Edit Campaign Settings" button. On the right of the screen "uncheck" the box that says "Content Network". You can leave "Google Search" and "Search Network" checked.

=>Mistake #2 - Too Many Keywords per Ad Group

Limit the amount of keywords per Ad Group to less than 25 keyword (75 if using broad, phrase, and exact match types). Having more than 25 keywords can negatively affect your Quality Score as the more keywords you have, the less relevant they are to the ad. DO NOT put more than 25 keywords in an ad group unless all keywords are very highly relevant.

=>Mistake #3 - Keyword Grouping

When you put your keywords into an Ad Group you need to make sure that they are all very similar and have at least one common keyword. You will want to use the keyword(s) within the ad title and description as much as you can. Here is an example:

Keywords: internet marketing, internet marketing book, internet marketing resource, internet marketing guide, best internet marketing book, internet marketing ebook, internet marketing help.

=>Mistake #4 - Using only Broad Match Type

To optimize your keywords for best performance and highest CTR you need to use Broad, Phrase and Exact Match Type Options. A common mistake is to only use the Broad Match Type as many people are not aware of the other match types.

Exact Keyword: [Internet Marketing]

Use all three keywords within your Ad Groups.

=>Mistake #5 - Low Daily Budget

If you are wanting to achieve high amounts of traffic you cannot expect to do so with a low daily budget. If your budget is $5 / day and you set your campaign to reflect this budget, chance are that you will not achieve much traffic at all. Google displays your ads based on a number of factors including daily budget. If your budget is set too low your ads will barely be displayed at all. We recommend setting your daily budget slightly higher than you are actually prepared to pay, then monitor your costs. It's very difficult to get any kind of traffic with a very low daily budget.

=>Mistake #6 - Duplicate URL's

Google only allows one url to be displayed in their search results per keyword and advertiser. If you are advertising the url: http://www.wealthyaffiliate.com, and another advertiser is advertising the same url, only one ad will be displayed. When coming into a new market there is often another advertiser already advertising the url that you would like to. In this case you need to either raise your CPC in order to outbid the competitor, or, create a landing page. Landing pages always convert into sales better as web surfers like to read reviews, comparisons, and opinions about products prior to making a purchase. If you are not getting impressions for some of your Ad Groups, this could be one of the reasons why.

=>Mistake #7 - Keyword Bid Price too High

When you set your bid prices you need to have a limit, and unless you are an experienced marketer and know that your Ad Group / keyword / ad combinations make you sales you shouldn't bid too high. I know that you are anxious to get some traffic, but paying $5.00 per click is much too high. On that note, paying $1.00 is many times too high. Try to keep your bid prices as low as possible while achieving the best position you can. Do not try to get traffic by simply out bidding your competitors. The idea is to outsmart competitors using relevant keyword groups and in turn you will pay less and see better results.

=>Mistake #8 - Ad Positions are Too Low

When trying to get traffic to your site you need to use the Google Traffic Estimator to help you determine how much you should bid per keyword. Many times if your CPC (cost per click) is too low, your position will be greater than 10 and you will not be on the first page of search results. For best traffic try to be in position 2-9 (on the first page of search results in Google). With this being said, it is sometimes very expensive to be on the first page and you may be forced to be in page 2. This is OK because as your Quality Score goes up, so will your positioning. Try to get on the first page, but if you cannot because of the bid price being too high, don't worry, you'll eventually get there by using our techniques to get a better Quality Score.

=>Mistake #9 - Non-Targeted Keywords

If you are advertising a product like WealthyAffiliate.com or Beating Adwords, you may be inclined to use keywords such as:

Marketing, ebook, Affiliate, Money.

The problem with these keywords is that they receive a lot of traffic, which costs you an arm and a leg, but the traffic does not convert into sales. The reason is because the keywords are not targeted enough. If you are selling Beating Adwords, our new Internet Marketing ebook, using the above keywords, the visitors are not necessarily looking for an IM ebook. If someone types in the keyword "Money" they could be looking for help with Microsoft Money, or Currency Exchange Rates. Same with the keyword "ebook". Someone could be looking for a golfing ebook, or how to create an ebook.

You need to make sure that your keywords are highly targeted to what you are selling. For example: Internet Marketing ebook, or Make Money Online would be better choices to replace the keywords mentioned above. The more targeted your keywords are to your product, the better conversions you will see.

=>Mistake #10 - Too Many Ads when Split Testing

Split testing allow you to run more than one ad for an ad group to see which adcopy (the text of the ad) creates a higher CTR. In other words, which ad entices searchers to click more frequently. Split testing should only be done using two ads and no more. This way you can determine which ad performs better. You want to treat split testing as a contest, or even a competition. The better performing ad gets to move on to the next round, while the lower gets replaced by a new competitor.

Limit the number of ads you are running per Ad Group to 2 ads when split testing.

On a final note: Expensive mistakes can be made easily in the world of internet marketing and there is risk as we learn and take on competitive markets. Having mentors and a strong network of supportive colleagues is important, if not imperative for success. There are more and more poeple logging on every day, and the market continues to grow. However, unless you approach internet marketing with an understanding of the pitfalls and a plan for success, it will be difficult to foster lasting success. Internet marketing, in all its hype, is only a business (not a get rich quick scheme.) All successful businesses must begin with a plan.

Law Firm Internet Marketing An Executive Summary Using the Q&A Format - Part I


What do I need to know first about law firm Internet marketing?

There are tons of vendors out there who want to sell you websites and law firm Internet marketing services. Most are honest people who simply don't know what they are doing. In many cases, they are attempting to sell you something that is overpriced and that won't produce you any new clients at all, let alone good clients. The attorneys I have worked with report to me that the whole Internet marketing process confuses them. They don't know who to believe. Some have spent considerable sums already on websites with little or no results. I aim to stop all that. So keep reading.

Do I need law firm Internet marketing?

Yes. According to Reuters News Services by 2007 there will be over nine million legal services searches done online each month. Additionally, prospective clients and clients expect you to have at least a website or think you may be behind the times if you do not. Finally, while the yellow pages are not a good attorney marketing vehicle today they are going away since people are searching the Internet and not going to the yellow pages.

What is/is not law firm Internet marketing?

Having a website is not law firm Internet marketing. At a minimum you do need at least a "brochure website" of a few pages, however, that website is unlikely to get you new business and is definitely not Internet marketing. The rest of this article (in four parts) is going to help you get clear on what Internet marketing is all about.

Where does Internet marketing begin?

Law firm Internet marketing begins with you becoming an educated consumer and then keyword research. Researching your practice's best keywords will tell us what words your prospective clients are using to search for legal services on search engines, what legal services your prospective clients are the most interested in, what your prospective client is thinking, how to attract these prospective clients to your site at the search engine instead of going to your competitors site, what your competitors are doing/not doing, what content to write for each of your top keywords (recommend writing a page each to at least the top 20 keywords), what are the words to use for PPC law firm advertising and how to begin search engine optimization. If you have not adequately completed keyword research using software tools like Wordtracker you have not done adequate keyword research and are likely to fail at your law firm Internet marketing.

You mentioned, "...what content to write for each of your top keywords...". What are you talking about exactly?

I am talking about what is known as the CTPM model of Internet marketing developed by Ken Evoy M.D. in 1997. This model works because it is in total alignment with how the Internet works. The C is the first part of the model and it stands for Content - create in demand content (you determine what is in demand from the keyword research). The T is Traffic - attract targeted traffic. The P is for pre-sell - pre-sell the targeted traffic (using such things as newsletters, RSS feeds, free downloads, e-books, auto responders, audio, video, and teleclasses). The M is Monetize - this is where you convert these pre-sold prospective clients to clients easily.

You mentioned, "...tools like Wordtracker..." with respect to keyword research in law firm Internet marketing. What is Wordtracker?

Wordtracker is a software tool that can be used to thoroughly research your keywords. Wordtracker is at least arguably the best keyword research tool in the marketplace and there are others. You can go to http://www.Wordtracker.com to get all the details. Your vendor can use this tool easily and should use it for keyword research to put your law firm Internet marketing on the right track from the beginning if at all possible.

You also mentioned "...how to begin search engine optimization." What is meant by search engine optimization (SEO) and exactly what is it and how does it fit into law firm Internet marketing?

There is no mystery in SEO in particular and law firm Internet marketing in general so don't let anyone bamboozle you on that one. As I said earlier SEO begins with appropriate keyword research. If you have not done that you are dead in the water since this is the foundation of everything that comes after in law firm Internet marketing. The next step is the "C" or content mentioned earlier in the CTPM model. You will need to write "keyword optimized" content to each of your top 20 keywords or another way to say this is writing your content in the way that search engines want to see it so they rank you higher than your competitors. Your content needs to fit together in a site plan (the term site plan refers to in what order your pages will appear and how they link to one another) that has an appropriate pyramid type structure. This pyramid type structure includes your home page (the peak of the pyramid) themed keyword phrase being supported by all the tier two pages (the next layer of the pyramid) and their tier three pages (usually the base of your pyramid although you could go deeper) support them resulting in higher rankings for all of your pages. There are some technical aspects to SEO as well like the use of clean HTML, heading text, meta tags, alt tags, site map, etc., however, mercifully I won't go into those since they should be known to your technical person. The bottom line is put nothing in the way of the search engines spiders (spiders are sent out from the search engine to "read" the sites on the Internet) being able to "read" your site like fancy flash pages get in the way big time for instance. All of what I just told you is known as "on site optimization" strategies for law firm Internet marketing. There is also "off site" optimization as well involved in SEO. Off site optimization means getting one-way links from high-ranking pages of other sites that are related to your top 20 keywords (there we are again with that keyword research being vital) that link to your site. Search engines see these links like a "vote" for your site. The more high quality "votes" you have the higher they will rank your site. The term "link popularity" is used to describe this process in law firm Internet marketing. The royal road to high quality links is having (here he goes again) keyword researched and keyword optimized quality content on your website. You get these links from website directories, article directories, online forums, press releases, etc. I left out reciprocal links because most SEO authorities think they are no longer worth the effort since they are difficult to get and don't really contribute much (or can even hurt) to your page ranking.

Becoming a Successful Internet Marketing Company Affiliate


Participating in affiliate programs as an internet marketing
company affiliate is a viable way to make money on the internet
without having your own products and services for sale. In
essence, as an internet marketing company affiliate, you market
other companies' products and services for a fee.

Generally affiliate programs are either one-tier or two-tier
programs which means if you participate in a one-tier program,
you get paid for referrals that you send to the company for which

Internet Marketing: A Reflection after One Year in the Business


As autumn and cold crawl their way into Canada and the sun sets before 4 p.m., this darkness and quietness bring along a time of reflection for all of us. The assessment I want to share with you is about internet marketing. Although my list of things to do seams never-ending, I am very happy to realize all I have accomplished in less than a year ( over 40 active web sites, a hypnosis for childbirth program that already got international recognition, over 100 published articles on the net, etc)

I have been in internet marketing for a little less than a year and I have attended ten internet marketing seminars in 2006. I am the kind of person who likes to get to the bottom of things. I want to share my findings with people who are starting, thinking of starting or even stalling in the internet marketing business.

The ten biggest pieces of wisdom I want to share with you about internet marketing I have learned are:

1)The price of Internet Marketing products is highly exaggerated. Many marketers are comfortable taking hundreds of dollars for useless e-books or software. They are able to overcharge such big money for two main reasons: their customers believe their well-written sales letter promising them to become a millionaire by working only two hours per day. The second reason is that since other people have raised the bar before them, they feel comfortable with overcharging for their products.

I encourage everyone who is about to purchase any internet marketing product to take a deep breath, back up and do an internet search. Most probably, the product or its equivalent is already available for a fraction of the price on the internet.

My opinion is that no e-book is worth that much unless it provides me with the code of the safe at the bank for this internet marketer.

2)In the internet marketing business there are dreamers and there are doers. I have repeatedly met some people at internet marketing seminars who have not taken action and just keep buying the next product promising them a fast an effortless income. My experience is that it takes work (but then again I don't see it as work as I enjoy it very much) at least in the beginning to secure a decent income in the internet marketing business.

3)Many internet marketers made their fortunes by selling products to people who want to make a fortune in the internet marketing business. Willie Crawford draws the parallel that the people who got the richest during the gold rush were the ones selling shovels and sticks to the gold diggers.

Anyone interested in internet marketing has to ask themselves if they have just been enriching the people selling them promises to make millions in the internet business.

4)There are basically three categories of internet marketers out there: the ones who just want your money, the ones who give you a good deal for your money and the ones that genuinely care about helping you making good money by sharing their efficient tactics.

I will, of course, not name any names here and I think that deep deep down people know what kind of marketers they are. I can tell you that upon trying to do a mental list of the genuine, caring ones, I had enough of my ten fingers to do the complete list.

5)The real successful internet marketers are often not on stage at seminars. I have met some very successful and knowledgeable people by talking to the person sitting next to me at seminars. I highly recommend you get to know the attendees at any given seminar; you will be surprised to sometimes find out that they know more than the speaker upfront and wiling to share everything with you...for free.

6)A masterminding group is a great resource to learn and share tricks and tips about internet marketing. The rule is to be part of a group that is about (or even better, a little above) your level of knowledge and accomplishments in internet marketing.

7)Action is power. Whatever piece of gold nugget you learn is useless if you do not take action on it. Many people are eternal course takers but have yet to get their first web site up. Even the best intended internet marketer will not make a penny if he doesn't get his product out there. I have heard numerous times the advice to put out your product and fix the fine details later. It has been a little challenging for a perfectionist like me but, honestly, it works great. Often, customer comments allow me to go back and improve my product in ways that I would have never thought of.

8)Internet marketing is a number's game. If you put all your eggs in one basket, you might rise very fast very high and then tumble down as fast. Diversity is the foundation for a solid business.

9)There will always be new things to learn. One cannot stay in their basement and hope that the world will not change. The internet marketing world is one that changes at the speed of light and one has to keep informed of the new trends and developments.

10)The Internet is here to stay. Internet has been growing at an astonishing rate and those who got in the game will be ahead of the pack in this exciting and powerful window to the world. The possibilities are infinite.

Law Firm Internet Marketing - An Executive Summary Using the Q&A Format - Part II


You mentioned "...your page ranking." What is page ranking and how do I get my pages ranked in law firm Internet marketing?

You don't have to do anything to get your web pages ranked in law firm Internet marketing. It happens when the search engines send their spiders out to read your site. Google Page Rank is the standard on the Internet for success since 47% of the people on the Internet go to Google to do their searching and the other major search engines (Yahoo and MSN) use similar models as Google. If you rank high at Google you will rank high anywhere. The Google Page Rank system is from 0 to 10 with 10 being high and 0 being low. Probably more than 98% of sites on the Internet are ranked 0, 1, or 2. I do recommend you go to Google and get a Google Tool Bar since then you can see the Google Page Rank they have given you and every other web page you ever visit. This is a very useful tool in law firm Internet marketing. First it tells you how you are doing with your website. Next it tells you how well your competitors are doing with their websites, which tells you what you need to do to get a higher Google Page Rank so you are above them in the search engine results. Finally, it tells you how well your vendor has done for you in law firm Internet marketing and if you are searching for a new vendor it can tell you if they know what they are doing since they should show you sites they have built that have good Google Page Ranks. For sure that vendor's site should have a good Google Page Rank don't you think? There is another ranking system called Alexa that is not one you need to be as aware of based on Alexa toolbar users (well over 10 million of them last I knew) and where they are going. You can get their toolbar at Alexa.com. Alexa ranking is based on the lowest number being the best and the highest number being the worst. A low number is under 500,000 thus indicating a website that is in the top 1% of all websites in the world in terms of the traffic that comes to their site. For example CNN.com is #26, GE.com is 4,719, Google is #3, Yahoo is #1 and MSN is #2. The poor Alexa ranks are in the millions with most websites on the Internet being Alexa ranked "no data" not being at all unusual. You site is likely to be "no data" ranked, as are most lawyer sites by far. So be more concerned about your Google Rank.

You have been talking about "competitors" a lot in. Who are my competitors in law firm Internet marketing?

Your competitors in law firm Internet marketing are those people who are trying to rank high at the search engines for the same keywords as you are trying to rank high on. If your down the street lawyer competitor knows nothing about keyword research and how to build a law firm Internet marketing system then he will not be much of a competitor for you on the Internet. Fortunately or unfortunately most lawyers are doing it all wrong with vendors who are over charging and under delivering. You have a great opportunity to get out in front of the pack and stay there because by the time they wake up you will be so far out in front they almost certainly won't be able to catch you in law firm Internet marketing.

Some way back you mentioned "RSS". What is RSS in law firm Internet marketing?

RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication". Trying to stay up with all the new information on the Internet is clearly difficult given the size and growth of the Internet. What if you had a really simple way to get the new information posted at your favorite websites or get their newsletters without them getting caught in spam filters? That is what RSS is designed to do. You sign up on the web site of one of your favorites for RSS and they will send information (text, audio or video) to your RSS news reader on your computer or to your web based news reader (I use Yahoo.com). Where can you get these news readers? Here are some options:

While this technology is still new it is growing. Some Internet marketing experts think it will overtake email as the "killer application" on the Internet in a few years since it fixes the spam problem and reduces the number of newsletters coming to people's in boxes. It is good but probably not that good. Right now I would put it on your site as a useful tool in law firm Internet marketing if you offer a newsletter or add content regularly since people who use RSS are going to be very interested prospects if they sign up on your site using RSS.

You said earlier "over charging and under delivering." What should I expect to spend on an Internet marketing site with a vendor that can deliver excellent results?

You may or may not have to "start over" if you have a site now. Also know some vendors charge by the hour, some by the project and some a mixture of the two. If you are looking for a "value vendor" (one who is not the cheapest but also not the most expensive) to build a new website with all of the factors I have spoken about in place you will need to expect to spend from $8,000 to $12,000 for the new website. At this level of spending the website should have 20 pages or maybe a few more in total with the entire "on site" SEO in place. The fee for the site should include the services of a Webmaster (think of this person as being much like a "general contractor" who is building your dream house), keyword researcher, web designer, technician, and website copywriter. If you are looking for someone who is going to do the ongoing webmaster role (think here of having a professional Internet marketer on you team) taking you from where you are now with an existing site to excellent results then work with you ongoing to assess your current website circumstances in detail, make a plan for how to improve your circumstances via your current vendor, manage your current vendor so they implement that plan (or if necessary make the recommendation to you to leave your current vendor as well as find you another more appropriate vendor) you can expect to pay around $70 to $90 per hour to get a quality USA based person to do the job for you.

Anatomy Of An Internet Marketing System


Please let me tell you about the Internet marketing

systems I use and find helpful. This information may be

of some benefit to you, especially if your goal is to

monetize your site or earn an income from your online

marketing.

My name is Titus Hoskins and I own and operate a very

I have been designing web pages and sites since 1998.

I have an Art/Education background but in the last

couple of years I have been studying online marketing

systems and using them.

Yes, studying them, since I have an art background I like

to examine beneath the surface of things or structures in

order to get a clearer picture. I like to see the whole

picture. The big picture. But the underlying elements behind

these complex systems interests me the most. What's beneath

the surface excites me, the structure holding everything

in place. How they are designed, the methods and tools

used to make these marketing systems work.

Keep in mind, I still feel a bit funny calling myself an

Internet marketer. Last week my marketing efforts make me

around a thousand dollars; don't know if that qualifies me

as an Internet marketer or not. Probably not. Most of the

people I associate and have contact with, usually make that

in a day -- the real smart ones make that in an hour.

A thousand dollars in one hour?

How is that possible? Well, the marketing experts who

earn the big d's -- usually have complex automated marketing

systems set up and operating on the Internet. These systems

start with their own products but quickly expands and builds

with large opt-in lists or ezines, 1000's of affiliates,

large JV networks, multi-sites, viral marketing, membership

forums, brandable ebooks, online marketing tools/resources

and the list goes on...

No doubt you may have stumbled across some of these

marketing systems on the Internet... one of the first

I really encountered was Internet Marketing Center run by

the late Corey Rudl who died tragically in a car crash at

the young age of 34. I made my first affiliate check

through Corey's system and it changed the way I looked

at the Internet forever. And the check was only $5!

What made me earn that $5 was not only my own efforts but

more importantly the whole marketing system behind IMC.

It took an ordinary webmaster and showed him how to market

on the web. It showed me the way. More importantly, it

also taught me Internet marketing is a skill anyone

can learn.

These marketing systems can be good places for the

beginning marketer to learn those skills. There are many

marketing systems quietly working the Internet. Some of

best (in my opinion) are Ken Evoy's whole Site Sell system,

Marlon Sanders Higher Response Marketing, John Reese's

Traffic Secrets, Bryan Winter's PushButton Publishing, Jeff

Mulligan's CBmalls, Nitro Marketing...

These Internet marketing systems are all different, yet

they all have common elements or features that make them

very effective and very powerful marketing systems. A close

examination of the different components or parts might

give you a better understanding of what makes these

Internet marketing systems work.

Here's a list of different parts of an effective Internet

Marketing system:

* Founder or Helm: All these marketing systems have a strong

leader or founder at the helm. A very vocal and forceful

communicator or spokesperson is needed as a focal point.

And like any company, its only as good as the person leading

it. Because the Internet is still a very 'scary' place for

the average user; a friendly outgoing spokesperson is

needed to break those barriers (real or imaginary) down.

* Unique Product or Products: Most of the effective

marketing systems have their own products to market.

These can be digital info products, web building/hosting

packages, or even self-contained marketing systems. Or all

of the above. Some popular products that come to mind would

include Ken Evoy's whole Site Sell and SiteBuildIt line,

or Jeff Mulligan's CBmalls promoting the well known digital

download affiliate site ClickBank.

* Databases or Lists: All these systems collect and keep

large databases or opt-in permission contact lists of

customers and potential customers. The real net value of

any marketing system is in the quantity and more importantly

the quality of its lists. All deliver a weekly or daily ezine

or ezines to these lists. Consider these Databases as the

engines that empowers any Internet marketing system.

* JV Networks: Most have large Joint Venture Networks or

contacts that will kick-start any new product. Momentum and

sales are created with these JV partners. An ideal JV partner

is a well respected online marketer with very responsive and

very large opt-in lists. If Databases are like engines, JV

networks will fill those engines with the fuel they need.

* Affiliates: The best marketing systems use 1000's of

affiliates to promote and market their products. This is

usually done in-house with their own affiliate program or

onsite software set up. Some use third party affiliate

programs like ClickBank, 1ShoppingCart, Commission Junction,

LinkShare, or Shareasale. Your ignition.

* AutoResponders: One of the most effective marketing tool

these systems use, autoresponders are essential for delivering

the sales. A series of follow-up e-mails will increase those

sales dramatically, studies have shown that it takes 6 or

7 follow-ups before someone purchases your product. Consider

the autoresponder like a fuel injection system.

* Tracking and Marketing Resources: All have extensive

tracking and marketing resources, usually located online

within a membership site. An easy to use and accessible

tracking system for affiliates is needed. So too are

marketing resources such as banners, links, coupons,

graphics, seo tactics, landing pages, lead capture pages,

brandable reports, articles and ebooks. Obviously, your toolkit.

* Viral Marketing: All great Internet marketing systems

use viral marketing techniques. This can be as simple a

brandable reports, articles, software or eBooks. Affiliates

can embed their own IDs and pass these viral products along

to their friends and visitors, these useful viral products

then get passed around all over the web. Creating links,

contacts, buzz and funneling prospects back to your

marketing system. Consider it your Turbo Charger.

* Online Forums: Many of the better Internet Marketing

systems will have an online forum where members can network

and interact. Offering workshops and tutorials. This is a

vital community building tool that must not be overlooked

or underestimated. It will greatly enhance the effectiveness

of any marketing system, building a foundation and launch pad

for any new products. Your gas station.

* Cross Promotion: These marketing systems can become very

complex: promoting programs within programs, cross networking

whole systems within systems, joint ventures within joint

ventures... Marketing seminars, conventions and workshops

are other lucrative features these systems use to market

their products and to network with other marketers. Hybrid fuel.

* Corporate Blogs: Most have company blogs or a network of

members' blogs. Realizing the importance of these relatively

new mediums for getting the word out. RSS feeds are also used

to syndicate your sales message and content. That would be

your satellite radio.

* Affiliate Incentives: The better marketing systems have

affiliate incentives and contests to motivate the sales force.

From cruises to Ferraries...

* They Pay Their Affiliates On Time: Might seem trivial, except

for the affiliate. The best Internet marketing systems pay

their affiliate regularly and on time. They are trusted and

respected by affiliates and online marketers. This trust have

been built up over many years of good solid business

relationships. The best marketing systems are the ones that

can harvest and develop those relationships with thousands

or even millions of affiliates. Your accelerator.

* Automation: The one key element that makes all of the above

possible. These Internet marketing systems are automated to

the highest degree possible. Without automation these large

marketing networks could not function. Therefore, almost all

the day to day running of a marketing system is automated and

can run smoothly without much work or maintenance. The grease

that makes everything run.

* Internet: These marketing systems have taken full advantage

of the world wide web and used it to their benefit. It permits

global marketing with affiliates in every country around the

world. A large multinational marketing force that is made

possible only with the creation of the Internet. Consider it

the clue that connects the whole system.
